S.F. Girl By Bay

Over at sfgirlbybay Victoria has a regular post she calls - Seperated at Birth - this week she has chosen some iconic figures of the 60′s and 70′s and matched them to some fabulous interiors.  I love this idea and am constantly amazed at the matches she makes.  Here are a few of my favourites....

Domino and Barbara Eden

Barbara Streisand and Greg Hatton

Jeffers Design Group and Marlo Thomas

Twiggy and Trove Interiors

HINDSVIK

One of my favourite Etsy shops is from the people at Hindsvik.  Not only do they have fabulous stuff but I love the way they photograph their products.
Hindsvik specializes in modern and industrial objects for the home which is right up my alley. On my blog roll you'll notice that Hindsvik is also one of my favourite blog reads - Hindsvik Blog is a behind the scenes look at shop owners Daniel and Valeria's inspiration while they renovate and redecorate their 1940's home.

THANKYOU

This is a huge thank you to Jodie at Ric Rac who quite amazingly read my blog, has the cowboy and Indian fabric I need, (see down 2 posts) and is willing to part with it!!!! You ripper!! I am constantly amazed at the generosity and support Blogging girls show each other and here is another perfect example. So 'YEAH JODIE!'

Here is the bunch of flowers I would send you if you weren't one of my 'imaginary friends' (as Surfer Boy refers to all I meet through Blogging.)

I Love Bloggers

How ACE are bloggers?

I had the loveliest day at work on Saturday. I had visits from so many great people who stayed for a chat and a laugh (Hi Eliza, Kris and Ali to name a few) but I had 2 very special visitors.
The first surprise guest was the delightful Shula from
Poppalina fame who dropped in to say Hi. It was so wonderful to finally meet Shula in person as she has given me so many hours of laughter and tears through her blog. The best thing was that she lived up to expectation and was completely delightful.

My next special guest was Bianca from
Hollabee who not only came for a visit but brought me gifts as well!! I had mentioned on her Blog that she had 2 CDs that I was dying to buy and low and behold she brought copies of them in for me! I am now the proud owner of both Missy Higgins and The Waifs new albums. How good is that!

It is such a bizarre concept that these two woman were so familiar to me and I know so much about their lives and yet this was the first time I had laid eyes on them. How wonderful to make new friends at this age and through such a medium. Yeah for blogging!
