Need for awareness in rural areas Wallpapers Photos

This beautiful python was caught on lens by my father near a place called Hinganghat some 75 km. from Nagpur ,Maharashtra. This beautiful python which my father says must hav been around 8 to 9 feet was killed by the villagers just 1 hr . after taking these pics. sensing trouble the python tried to go away but was thrown by the villagers directly into to a bonfire, were this beautiful thing turned into ashes. My father and his two colleague, tried to stop those villagers ,but they were too scared to listen .
this is not the first incident of such happening in India. hundreds of wild animals are killed by villagers every year.
following are few of the pics and stories i found while surfing the net -
pythons and snakes are killed evey month in the rural side
this leopard was stoned to death by villagers in yavatmal, maharashtra.
This tiger was killed by villagers for encrouching in there farms.
People consider such wild animals as threat to there and there cattels life and thus kill them .
In such a case making people living in rural areas aware of what importance these animals are to the nature and how to react in such situation ,is of utmost importance now.
the forest department of india should take the initiative to make these people aware in this concern.
